It is called Black Hole on the school’s site, but Black Hall on the site of Terada design & Architects, the Tokyo-based architecture firm that designed it. We want to believe the school, especially when we know that one of the large studios is called Big Mouth. The Black Hole has recording studios, multimedia studios, electronic organ classrooms, PC labs, and practice studios for jazz, jazz vocal, pop and rock. In the otherwise basic hallways, intense wall and ceiling colors have become the main design element, and the way finding — large-scale painted signage on the walls — is the main artwork. Terada is an architecture and design studio established by the Osaka-born, 42-year-old Naoki Terada in 2003. - Tuija Seipell

So needless to say, i thought the first fleet of converse skateboarding shoes were kinda wack haha, but these got my attention, i might skate me a pair




Next spring season, Converse will be releasing their first FULL skateboarding footwear collection. Consisting of a couple of models, the first collection consists of solid footwear, at least in terms of colors and silhouettes. How they perform on the skateboard, we will have to see once they are coming out. The looks are classic and add padding and other features to the Converse sneaker.

As part of their upcoming Bad Brains collaboration, Supreme once again gets together with Vans. This time the NYC brand worked on the Mountain Edition and the Old Skool. Both styles come in red, green, black and navy leather uppers and a tan leather patches on the heel. Furthermore the lining features a black/white pattern and the heel a red Vans x Supreme tag.

They should be coming out in a couple of weeks.

NIKE SB x FLY x TRIUMVIR...WHAAAA??

An interesting project will be releasing soon in China, that involved the Chinese skate stores Fly and Cali brand Triumvir. Together they worked with Nike SB on the “Beijing” Dunk Mid.

“The inspiration and concept of the shoe was based on “a Beijing native’s perspective of their own city, with the slogan skate towards Tienanmen Square.” The Dunk Mid is going to be a special edition for fly’s Beijing shop and the first Nike shoe ever to be named after China’s great northern metropolis, “Beijing.” We were asked to incorporate the following categories of what Beijing is known for into the design of the shoe: dust, traffic, highways, noodles, Tienanmen Square, and the capital of China.

The Dunk Mid was chosen to represent Beijing because Jeff loves to skate in Dunk Mids. We suggested using premium tumbled leather for the black panels. The gray tones were used to symbolize the colors of the city’s high-rises and highways. The graphic on the insole is a combination of flystreetwear x triumvir’s logo.”
