We want to believe the school, especially when we know that one of the large studios is called Big Mouth. The Black Hole has recording studios, multimedia studios, electronic organ classrooms, PC labs, and practice studios for jazz, jazz vocal, pop and rock. In the otherwise basic hallways, intense wall and ceiling colors have become the main design element, and the way finding — large-scale painted signage on the walls — is the main artwork. Next spring season, Converse will be releasing their first FULL skateboarding footwear collection. Consisting of a couple of models, the first collection consists of solid footwear, at least in terms of colors and silhouettes. How they perform on the skateboard, we will have to see once they are coming out. The looks are classic and add padding and other features to the Converse sneaker.

As part of their upcoming Bad Brains collaboration, Supreme once again gets together with Vans. This time the NYC brand worked on the Mountain Edition and the Old Skool. Both styles come in red, green, black and navy leather uppers and a tan leather patches on the heel. Furthermore the lining features a black/white pattern and the heel a red Vans x Supreme tag.

An interesting project will be releasing soon in China, that involved the Chinese skate stores Fly and Cali brand Triumvir. Together they worked with Nike SB on the “Beijing” Dunk Mid.

“The inspiration and concept of the shoe was based on “a Beijing native’s perspective of their own city, with the slogan skate towards Tienanmen Square.” The Dunk Mid is going to be a special edition for fly’s Beijing shop and the first Nike shoe ever to be named after China’s great northern metropolis, “Beijing.” We were asked to incorporate the following categories of what Beijing is known for into the design of the shoe: dust, traffic, highways, noodles, Tienanmen Square, and the capital of China.

The Dunk Mid was chosen to represent Beijing because Jeff loves to skate in Dunk Mids. We suggested using premium tumbled leather for the black panels. The gray tones were used to symbolize the colors of the city’s high-rises and highways. The graphic on the insole is a combination of flystreetwear x triumvir’s logo.”

Here we have Nikes' Air Max Light for the Fall 2008 lookbook. These are by far are one of my favorite Air Max's out there right now, if only these were 90's, they'd top everyone i've ever seen haha, but yeah. Those loud colors just do it for me on this shoe. The other colorway, a predominately black style features bits of purple tones on the midsole and liner to offer a pleasing combination. Osang Gwon’s style which began approximately 10 years ago enlisted a painstaking method of utilizing photography along with Styrofoam sculpture to bring together the 2-D world of photography with that of the 3-D world of sculptures. A 32 Valve V8 engine made entirely from LEGOs is exactly the kind of thing us Complexians would’ve taken a year to work on as teenagers…if we hadn’t been stealing comic books and listening to rap and raiding our brothers’ fathers’ mothers’ porn stashes. Luckily for us, a dude named Barman (not MC Paul, we assume) over at Lego mod haven Brickshelf took care of it for us.

Built using LEGO Technic pieces over “4/5 months,” the engine is unquestionably dope, with fully functioning pistons, crank shaft, and valves that light up. Barman is mum on his adjustable power source, but we’re guessing it’s just a simple battery (and not, say, Kool Aid). Watch a clip of the motor in action below.

Designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, the pack consists of overall four colorways - red, grey, green and blue. Hiroshi Fujiwara worked on the updated version of the Tennis Classic, which now has a better fit and the comfort of Zoom Air. The Nike logo on the tongue and the Swoosh have both been embossed, which give the sneaker an overall very clean look. On the back heel the Fragment Design logo appears.

Nort Berlin will be releasing the Nike Zoom Tennis Classic “Fragment Design” on October 11th.

Too bad no one in the States will be rockin' these, but imma try to find how to get some, probably wont be successful haha

Vans Vault - Egyptian Warrior Pack

Since its formation in 2003, the Vans Vault collection from Vans has created a special medium of which artists & designers could present their works in a portable and affordable form. Its also platform for Vans to explore interesting ideas, like this Sk8-Hi LX Textile from this season’s collection. Taken from ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and murals, the sidewall fabric is imprinted with with lines of checks and herringbones patterns, interlaced with a depiction of ancient Egyptian warriors going to battle. Embroidered on the suede heel patch, portrait of the Sphinx in bright yellow stitching. In addition, the Eye of Horus, the god with a falcon’s head and a symbol of power and war, embroidered on the front upper.

The Vans Vault - Egyptian Warrior Pack - Sk8-Hi LX Textile is currently available at selected retailers with Vans Vault account around the globe, including the BEAUTY & YOUTH branches of UNITED ARROWS throughout Japan.
